Synopsis: From the director of The Devil's Miner, this acclaimed documentary charts the incredible journey of Uganda-born world champion boxer, Kassim The Dream Ouma. At age six, he was kidnapped by the rebel army and forced to be a child soldier. But Ouma found his ticket to freedom after discovering the army's boxing team and defected to the U.S. in 1998, after more than a decade of warfare. Overcoming homelessness and severe culture shock, Ouma gradually rose through the ranks of the sport to become Junior Middleweight Champion of the World. Having achieved the American Dream but still battling his childhood demons, Ouma's greatest wish is to return to Uganda and his family. Filmmaker Kief Davidson skillfully captures this haunted, extraordinarily complex young fighter during a pivotal time in his life as he seeks a pardon from the government that nearly destroyed his life.     Source: Amazon.com
