Synopsis: One-Third is best described as a psychological thriller, a spiritual love story and a modern-day haunting tale of two neighbors who live in a New York City, East Village apartment. We first meet Chris, a Buddhist monk in his twenties, who lives a simple life filled with meditation, moderation, and abstinence. Despite his lifestyle, he soon becomes entranced with his 18 year old female neighbor, whom he dubs Lotusia because of her seeming innocence, like a lotus growing in a swamp of mud. He soon discovers his innocence to be superficial. A peephole in the wall breaks down the barrier between Chris and Lotusia as each peers into the life of the other. However, it is what Chris sees and his lack of interference with Lotusia's predicaments that propel the plot forward and culminate in a series of tragic events. One Third is inspired in part by a quote from Dante's Inferno, 'Maintain the melancholy souls of those who lived without infamy or praise.'     Source: Official Site
