This page is going to be kept very simple. It will contain a simple list of when new features are added to the site or other changes, assuming the admins remember to update the list :D. This is in part meant to show you, the user, what is now available to you, but also as a helpful reminder to the creators of what still needs to be done. It's amazing what having fun as a teenager can do to the memory!
| [09/02/10] | -We would like to announce a new, seamless, improvement to our search engine: While CPO is an English site more geared towards North American audiences, we have always been proud of the number of foreign origin and non-English language movies we list in our database. Currently almost 14% of all movies in our database are part of the Foreign category. So what is new?? For those of you who would rather search the original Foreign title of a movie you can do that now. So for instance, the 2007 French movie Back to Normandy will also be found if you search the original French title Retour en Normandie. Our tip of the hat to our "foreign" friends both inside and outside of North America, as well as our tip of the hat to the fact that not all good movies necessarily originate in Canada or the United States. |

-We hope you all are having a great (but maybe too warm) summer. -We also would like to announce that we have begun a new feature, but at this point just through our Facebook page. We are going to start putting up links to the theatrical trailers from the featured new releases each week. So if you are a member of Facebook than become a fan of our page and get quick access to new trailers every week. |

-The CPO team would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter/holiday weekend. -We also would like to announce that we have now passed the 5000 mark in our DVD database. 500,000 here we come!! |

-The CPO team would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010. -We have just added more pics to both the dvd poster scrambles and the actor scrambles on the funpage. In a day or two we will be also posting a new MIH article on the near future of the movie industry. Come back to check it out. |

-First off, we apologize for being down for the last couple days. We had to do some unexpected site and database maintenance. -But on a good note, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all, and now we are back up just in time to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. Whew! There are almost 5000 movies in our database now! -See you in 2010 for more great movie-watching and CPO browsing!! |

-Well here we are, 18 months old. We thank you all for your support of our great little site. -Some things that have happened today to celebrate our "anniversary": We have just hit the 4000 DVD mark in our database. We have also added more pics to both the actor and dvd cover art scrambles. Plus our writing staff has begun work on a new MIH article. |
| [03/29/09] | -We just added a neat feature to the DVD pages. As of today, when you are browsing each movie, the actor and director names now have links and when you click on the names it will bring up a list of movies from our database that person has acted in or directed. Cool eh! We're pretty excited about it and hope you like this feature too! |

-We have now added a "Fun Page." So if you are looking for a way to be unproductive at work come check it out. There is a DVD Movie Cover Scramble where you need to try and guess the movie
before the time runs out. There is also a stats page with lots of information about this site, prepared to be amazed and shocked (Rated R... just kidding) -Started working on another addition to the fun page. -Started working on a new home page that will coincide with a bit of an image change as we focus on articles as well as our core release database. |
| [01/01/09] | -A small change has been made to the way that text is displayed. Internet Explorer users are no longer able to adjust the text size as this distorts the page layout. This is a temporary fix and over the coming months we will be switching to a page with dynamic widths in order to accomodate users with special accessibility needs. In the mean time, you can use the zoom feature, depending on your browser, to increase the text size if need be. |

There are some great plans afoot for our site in the New Year, including in the very near future the launch of our Fun Page. -Our database has now reached 3000 dvd releases!! -We have also improved our search field. Not only can you search by movie title, but also by director or actor/actress. |
| [05/22/08] | -Today is the 150th day CouchPotatoesOnline has been live to the public and in celebration of that we are now unveiling what we lovingly call... CPO 1.5. What you will see is a wider page layout so the sections are better spaced, easier to see/read, and without overlap. Enjoy, and keep watching great movies. |

-Added an up to date version of the privacy policy and terms of service. -Made a few small cosmetic changes, nothing major. Major changes will be made all at once as they are completed. |

-***Expect big changes to the site over the next few months. More info on that to come. -now shows genre code beside movie when searching, browsing by title, or browsing by date. -movie titles in Browse by Title are now properly indexed, with "The" not all grouped under "T". -new releases are now ordered by their release date. -added "paging" to the search page so that results are split up to reduce load time. |
| [02/11/08] | -Made a few small changes on the Moment in History archive page to take into account larger titles. -Fixed a few minor problems with the MyMovieList page, including the error notifications in the case of an incorrect login. |
| [01/26/08] | -The MyMovieList feature is up. This is a cool feature that lets you create a list of movies to watch so you don't forget. You can also choose to get a monthly reminder. It still needs to be tweaked and prettied up a little bit but its totally functional. -Started work on a star rating system that will let users rate movie, will probably be some time before this is actually up on the site. |
| [01/05/08] | -A milestone in the database has been reached, our 1000th movie entry has just been added. |
| [01/03/08] | -Added a news archive. This well let you check out any old articles you may have missed with direct links to the articles. -Added a MPAA/MPI Ratings row into the movie display page. This is a new feature and the ratings are still being added to the database so it will take some time before all movies have ratings. |
| [12/29/07] | -"A Moment In History" added to the website. This is a cool feature that will explore the history of the movie industry with a weekly article.
